This postcard-sized gouache painting reminds me of nights spent with good friends, sitting around a picnic table with a pitcher of beer in downtown Austin back when I was young and carefree!
I enjoy this piece because glass is always a challenge to paint, and there's nothing like a cafe lighting to set a warm cozy mood.
The painting is 4x6in and horizontal/landscape orientation. It includes a small unpainted margin where masking tape held the paper while I painted.The reference for this piece was a photo generously shared on Unsplash by Alex Iby.
