We lived in Austin, Texas for 20 years, and this painting reflects the scene one weekend when my family rented a "retro boat" on Town Lake. (Although it's technically now called Ladybird Lake, townies know the truth - it's called Town Lake.)
We were celebrating Father's Day and the peaceful, serene vibes of the lake were just right. After the adventure, I challenged myself to paint the complex water patterns captured in a photo I took.
The edges of the canvas are painted. This can be hung unframed or you could frame it, depending on your preferences.
