This painting captures the experience of gazing through a car window on a dreary, rainy evening. Raindrops are one of my favorite things to paint, and as someone who lives in the hot, sun-drenched state of Texas, a gray sky is something I personally relish in.
This piece pairs the intriguing three-dimensional characteristics of the water droplet with the moody greyness of a stormy evening in the city.
