This piece was inspired by the breathtaking trees I admired on a summer road trip through West Virginia and Kentucky. One particular type of tree, with its light, airy symmetry, captured my imagination as I pictured it glowing in the vibrant colors of fall.
Combining layers of carefully cut paper with a textured, painted background, this artwork reflects both the structure and warmth of autumn. The play of light through the tree’s "leaves" gives it a dynamic, almost glowing quality that changes with your perspective.
Creating this piece was incredibly satisfying, and it opened the door to new explorations in cut paper art. The wooden frame adds a natural finish, making it a versatile and eye-catching addition to any space. This artwork celebrates the simple beauty of trees in transition and the inspiration found in nature’s fleeting moments.
